Female Jungle Fighter - Sneak Peek

Currently things are very busy in the studio, one of the things we're working on is the very first 30mm Heroic scale miniature for table top gaming. The sculpt is about a third of the way through and is of a Sci-Fi female jungle fighter.

The remit for this one is to keep it as real and practical as possible so that the model will blend in with other miniatures in your army, or make a cool collectable on display.

So, here is a sneak peek at the sculpt so far:

Guns, knives, red bandanna and killy things to be added soon...

Scorched Earth 32mm Bases

Here are some of the first designs to rock out of the studio. These are 32mm bases designed for use with table top gaming, your Warhammer 40,000 type of thing. These bases are hand sculpted and also cast by hand in high quality polyurethane resin, and as the are not mass produced this gives each set of ten their own unique feel.

This first set is called 'Scorched Earth' and are designed to replicate a cracked ground environment, like a sun baked mud flat for example.

Each base is sculpted from photographic reference of a real life 'scorched earth' environment. However, you can paint them however you like, for example as a rocky lava flow.

These bases are not available yet, but are due for release soon along with several other designs.

More coming from the studio soon!

WH40K Imperial Knight: Arise Sir Diddymus!

Here is the result of watching the Labyrinth movie one too many times and spending a few too many hours gluing and painting, I give you Imperial Knight Sir Diddymus of the house Terryn:

Not just for for chopping up Titans, also very good at eviscerating Space Marines

Some guys do just want to see the world BURN!

I have sworn with my life's blood, none shall pass this way without *my* permission!

I (Simon) love painting the bigger model kits, there is just something about these large models that is just awesome to behold once the are completed. Sir Diddymus is my first Imperial Knight, and I plan to build and paint a lot more in the future.

One of my favourite parts is the fade on the armour, I don't use an airbrush when painting these. Instead I use a gradual fade of colour, water and several custom made paint brushes I have created.

That's all for now, you can see a high quality photo of Sir Diddymus HERE on Simon's Deviant Art page.
